Meet the District Manager

Christie Holderness began her career at St. Andrews Public Service District (SAPSD) as a member of the Board of Commissioners in 2001. After serving as Chairperson from 2005-2011, Holderness filled the position of District Manager in 2012. She is an alumna of the College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration and is a long-time SAPSD resident. Holderness has various NIMS/FEMA and leadership certifications through various continuing education platforms. She has been an active member of the S.C. Association of Special Purpose Districts since 2015 and currently serves as President of the Association. SCSPD serves as a statewide membership organization that educates citizens about the role of SPDs, and preserves the political, fiscal, and operational integrity of the state's SPDs. In addition to attending civic functions and SASPD events, Holderness is an active member at First (Scots) Presbyterian Church, a mother of two wonderful young adults, and enjoys surrounding herself with friends and family.
